Additional clarity is provided by both a pregnancy test and an ultrasound as part of the first pregnancy examination at the gynecologist. The visit to the doctor should be made as soon as possible so that he can issue the maternity passport, in which the results of the further pregnancy examinations can be noted. 17th to 24th week of pregnancy

Now the pregnancy becomes clearly visible even to outsiders. Week after week, the expectant mother notices that her belly is growing steadily and can now also feel the baby's movements. Due to the weight gain and the increased space required by the uterus, pressure is exerted on the surrounding organs. This can cause heartburn, increased urination, and back and leg pain. It is therefore best for pregnant women to take a few breaks on the sofa and put their legs up. Pregnancy massages have also proven to be very effective. Stretch marks can be counteracted with the right oils and a regular plucking massage. Muscle development can be supported by certain pelvic floor exercises and prevents incontinence, which often occurs in the further course of pregnancy. Usually, in the 24th or 25th week of pregnancy, the sex of the child is slowly becoming apparent. It is therefore possible to start buying gender-specific initial equipment for the baby.
